21st Century Clubs

Mrs. Shena Rudzinski
21st Century Coordinator
Walnut Grove enjoys the benefits of winning a 21st Century Community Learning Grant.  WGS was awarded the grant in the fall of 2007.  This program supports the creation of community learning centers that provide academic enrichment opportunities including after school clubs and library night. The program helps students meet state and local student standards in core academic subjects, such as reading and math; offers students a broad array of enrichment activities that can complement their regular academic programs; and offers literacy and other educational services to the families of participating children.
Clubs are offered 4 times a year for each 9-week grading period. Registration packs are sent home with students a week before clubs begin. Every attempt is made to place students in the clubs of their choice. If you have any questions about the club schedule or registration, please contact Mrs. Rudzinski.
